this time last year i was living in chicago with my sister's family and finishing my forrest yoga teacher training.

today i will have folded one hundred paper cranes.  here's a collection of some.  as my supervisor says, they are all playing in the sand box.  another one bites the dust!

*finally the cd ejecting from the car stero (it may have been stuck and after a few days of bad radio and the same cd i got frustrated and hit the side of the stereo...out pops the cd! :)

uh oh.  my family would have been fined on numerous occasions...maine - if you keep your christmas decorations on display after january 14 you can be fined.

michigan - a woman may not cut her hair without her husband's permission.

nevada - it is illegal for mustached men to kiss woman.

oklahoma - it is illegal to take a bit out of another person's hamburger.

south carolina - if a man promises to marry a woman, he is required by law to keep his promise.

illicit theater candy.

nycole, danya and i went to the play, 'dracula vs jekyll & hyde' saturday night.  which was brilliant.  


so there is a little theater just north of broadway off main street in downtown salt lake, the off broadway theater.  i've lived in salt lake/utah for years and never heard of it before a few weeks ago.  quite a shame.


it's a family friendly, non-profit and hilarious way to spend your evening.  i mean look how much fun nycole is having...  

anyway.  the play was seriously great.  it's not often that you get tired from smiling/laughing :)

the reward.

31 days.  i did it :)

honestly, it wasn't too difficult.  i recognize now that i definitely self medicate with sugar.  we all knew that but i didn't know to what extent!  with sugar not as an option, i either recognized the craving and had something a little healthier - fruit, sugar free pudding cup or just drank some water and a mental pat on the back.

so.  what now?!

well danya had the awesome idea to stay sugar free except for holidays.  loved it.  nycole said she'd find new friends :)  now i'm thinking no sugar save saturdays/holidays?

right now i'm just going to see how everything goes.  maybe i have this whole gorging, reward, craving thing under control...but seriously, who are we kidding.  i'm the sugar empress.

anyway.  i'll keep you posted.

found a silk lepard print dress at a goodwill in washington.  didn't find my blue tights but am substituting red.  dressed for tomorrow.  i have a thing for red lately.  just ask my co-workers :)

this coat is at anthro right now.  way cute with it's flared skirt and puffed sleeves.

i pulled out a trench coat i've had for years and am now feeling a little blah about.  you get where i'm going with this?

i want to put a little trim on it (i may now have beyonce's single ladies song in my head).  


my coat of course is mor masculine and i think double buttoned but a little trim on the back/front flaps, maybe the pockets?  since my coat is more camel how about a brighter blue trim?  or i could do a classic black?
