the puffin cafe.

just before i left washougal, my mom took us kids out to puffin cafe.

the restaurant literally floats on the columbia river.

the theme is caribbean food cooked by pirates :)

our drinks were served in mason drinking jars...very cute.

there were tons of signs displayed that we/i wandered around looking at/taking pictures of.

the food. polly got a boring burger (bacon and cheese), mom got montego bay chicken tacos with fried orca, colton got marley's nacho supreme and i got the bucaneer burger (comes with a slice of pineapple). both colton's and my meal (bucaneer burger) came with cotija cheese. the waffle fries were extremely good...polly saved hers for the end which was smart. but then colton and my mom kept begging for another fry. my only complaint was the diameter of my bun was about 4 inches while my burger/patty was approximately 2.5.

colton needs no reason to jump and jive.

fort epicness.

nycole and matt decided we should build a fort. everyone was told to wear comfies or pajamas (if possible) and bring their favorite childhood snack or game.

i took the opportunity to wear my princess jasmine crown.

i am a wee bit of a linens collector i found out (working at bed bath & beyond will do this too you) and almost single handedly provided enough blankets, sheets, yoga towels, tapestries, etc to make the fort. we used chairs, box springs, windows, twine, tape and push pins (not into walls) to make the fort.

we had handi snacks (the breadsticks you dip in cheese), juice boxes and cookies. there might have been masks and a 'no boys allowed' sign (later modified to 'cool boys allowed').

self-timer craziness.

at any moment you could be subjected to steamrollers or bulldozers. we turned off the twinkle lights and broke out the glow sticks then settled in for a viewing of 'fantastic mr. fox' in the fort. that's right. we built it to accomodate a couch and tv.

nycole and i slept in the fort. the boys have declared it a huge success and now want to build forts at least quarterly.

the boy babies.

both boys would scoff at being called babies. but. they are currently the boy babies in the family :) and they are best of friends.

so um...yeah...check out co co's hair.

i believe that bradshaw learned to dominate in fights because he is used to fighting with a 17 year old.

unicycle half time show.

i got to attend two of my very handsome brother's basketball games and this is what they had for a half time show. pretty incredible:

me gusta mucho el salvador.

i took out my rebel of a camera a lot in el salvador and managed to capture some awesome tubing shots. i have five sequential photos of my (too tall) brother tackling my (oh so handsome) brother. unfortunately you have to be part of the family (so godfather-esque) to see the first three.

apparently this video went around the internet la la land but i either saw it and forgot or definitely just appreciated the vid more this time around. as in really appreciate it. for any nervous nelly out there...it's just a set of legs :)

i finally now wear a white skirt i got in paris(had to build up to it). i typically pair it with a darker shirt but maybe i should mix it up and wear something lighter?

i could totally sew sequins, in a stripe, on a white tee(hee)!

this i may do when i get home. i have a blue button up shirt, striped tee, blue cords or slacks or skirt. then just layer every silver necklace i own? maybe i'll cut back on that aspect. anyways...doable.

adventure in silver springs.

back in november a group of friends (self named...adventure club) went out to eureka and silver springs, ut for an adventure. i mentioned this little adventure before which resulted in my little knee injury. at the time i wasn't quite up for pictures. but i've recently realized i neglected posting lots of important ones (el salvador, movember party, christmas, etc) and so i'm trying to catch up/throw stuff in.

stopped on the side of the road taking a self timer picture. we are kind of hilariously awesome. and yes, jon is dressed as indiana jones.

matt and danya always end up in engagement type shots. i should post a collection at some point :)

i have never been a fan of/excited about wedding dresses. however, the following dress is darling and i like it.

i could totally put up with it. i think i could even get excited about it. of course i would want one that hit either just below or above the calf. i love the sleeves and neckline. and it appears as if one could still move...even dance in it. anyway.

you are gorgeous and tall yet still wear the same size shoe as me (yay! for sharing converse). you love your niece and nephew fiercely, pass on good reads, shop with me and let me sleep in your bed when i'm visiting. thanks for putting up with a sometimes oppressing older sister and turning out so loving (i take some credit). love you muchas muchas!!

so i make it my business to have a cheap phone that really just calls people and texts. i can't even receive pictures on my phone right now. i like it :)

missing the christmas season just a wee bit. i felt like it was abruptly cut short because of all the craziness at the cabin. don't worry though. we still have our white twinkle lights going in the studio.
